Sanctions & Embargoes: Presented by Tradewin

September 28

10:00am-11:30am (UTC-07:00)

Webinar

Sanctions and embargoes are political trade restrictions put in place against target countries with the aim of maintaining or restoring international peace and security. Sanction refers to a threatened penalty for disobeying a law or rule. An embargo is a commercial barrier that prevents commerce or trade with a single nation or a group of countries entirely or partially. In the US, embargoes and sanctions are maintained by the Commerce, State and/or Treasury Departments. We will review the status of the most relevant sanctions and describe strategies for managing these evolving actions.
