As part of its outreach program to the trade community, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will be presenting on its CARM initiative at Expeditors Canada offices. CARM is a multi-year business transformation initiative. The objective of CARM is to simplify the importing process and envision to:
- Provide a modern interface for importing into Canada.
- Give importers self-service access to their own information.
- Improve consistency in trade rules and decisions.
- Eliminate repetitive information requirements.
- Strengthen compliance verification and fraud detection.
