Carnet Information (U.S. Council for International Business)
Carnets are "The Merchandise Passports." They are international customs documents that simplify customs procedures for the temporary importation of goods such as commercial samples, professional equipment and goods for exhibitions and fairs, helping to avoid extensive customs procedures, payment of duties and value-added taxes, and replace the purchase of temporary import bonds.
